Believed to be England's earliest Christian sanctuary, formerly the largest Abbey in the country, set in 36 acres of beautiful parkland and orchards. You are welcome to bring your family, or walk your dog on a short lead throughout the year among spring bulbs, medieval inspired medicinal gardens, autumn colours and winter walks. Living History Guides throughout the year and seasonal café. Exhibitions, recitals, concerts and theatre held throughout the year to illuminate the life of the historic Abbey in the heart of Glastonbury.

Major pilgrimages are usually held in July with the Anglican pilgrimage on a Saturday and the Catholic Dioscesan pilgrimage on the Sunday of the same weekend.
