Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Charity Shops could use your help
If you are looking for a meaningful way to spend some spare time, Phyllis Tuckwell could use your help in one of its 19 charity shops.
These shops raise vital money to fund the supportive and end-of-life care which Phyllis Tuckwell offers to local patients and families who are living with a terminal illness, such as cancer.
Julia Morpeth is their Voluntary Services Manager. She says:
- “Our shops are an important source of income. They help ensure we can offer medical and nursing care, therapies, counselling, social work advice and practical support to over 250 patients, relatives and carers every day. They relay on local community support - through generous donations of high-quality items that are no longer wanted, but can be sold in the shops - and also through volunteers who sort, price and sell the items.”
Phyllis Tuckwell offers training and support to its volunteers. It currently has 19 local shops, including in Farnham, Aldershot, Ash, Farnborough, Fleet, Guildford and Haslemere.
