Farnham Sinfonia Concert

As a welcome return after lock-down blues, an evening of music to gladden the heart from Farnham Sinfonia (part of the Tilford Bach Society). The violin soloist will be the UK-based Japanese Coco Tomita, winner of the BBC Young Musician 2020 Strings Category.

As well as the Young Musician award, Coco Tomita has won other top prizes at international competitions and festivals. Born into a musical family, she began to play the violin as a four-year old. At age 10, she made her debut at the Cadogan Hall in London, performing as soloist with the Southbank Sinfonia and went on to appear in many prestigious venues in the UK and abroad. Following her 2020 success, she now has an exclusive agreement with Orchid Classics - her debut album is due for release in 2022. She plans a tour of Japan in the 2021/22 season.
On Saturday 2nd October at 7:30 p.m at St.Andrew’s Parish Church in Church Lane Farnham GU9 7PW.
There will be a retiring collection following the concert for those who are able to afford it.
