Christian Aid in Farnham & District

Christian Aid is an international organisation whose aim is to end world poverty and injustice worldwide.

What is Christian Aid?  Christian Aid is a UK Registered Charity (No.1105851) which was founded by British and Irish churches in 1945 to help refugees following the Second World War.  It now works many countries globally, with people of all faiths and none, seeking to fight injustice and poverty.  By working through local partners in the countries where it has its programmes, it is well placed to respond in emergency relief situations as well as to work in development.

Currently, its development work is focused on helping communities counter the effect of climate change, while also campaigning for climate justice and a better world.

Fund Raising.  Christian Aid raises income from a wide number of sources, such as institutional grants, regular gifts, Christian Aid Week campaigns, general donations, legacies and emergency appeals.  It has a local presence in Farnham, which organises a programme of fund raising activities and events.

Please check our Churches Together Notice Board for forthcoming activities.
