Hello!
My name is Dawn, and I am excited to introduce myself as the new Ecumenical Facilitator for Churches Together in Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. I am honoured to have been given the opportunity to serve in this role to support your congregations.
I am an ordained minister in the Baptist Union, and over the years, I have worked collaboratively and in partnership across denominations and other faiths. My ministry has been further enriched through working as an artist, teaching and taking commissions. Creative approaches are integrated into most things that I do. I have also run many retreats and mindfulness workshops using creativity to facilitate spiritual growth and reflection. I am a seasoned preacher and would be glad to be invited to share in your church services.
As well as the role with Churches together I am the Director of the Baptist LGBTQ+ CIO 'Affirm' and the Tutor for the Inclusion of LGBTQ+ people. In these capacities, I help churches deal with issues concerning human sexuality by guiding them through processes that allow them discern where they stand as a community and develop "safer spaces" on the subject, regardless of their theological position.
I am training to be a pastoral supervisor and am trained as a community organizer with Citizens UK. I am also the tutor for Inclusion of young adults at Northern Baptist College and an experienced mentor. I am very passionate about the development of great ecumenical relationships and working together to manifest heaven on earth. I will be available and open so as not to miss out on opportunities for meaningful conversation about how we together can work toward building community.
Please feel free to email me at
should you have any inquiries or if there is anything I may help with. I look forward to meeting you and working together to support our shared mission.
Dawn
