Good Morning
My name is Sue and I am the Somerset Coast Area Co-Ordinator for Promiseworks a charity that supports vulnerable children and young people in Somerset through volunteer mentoring relationships and I am looking to raise awareness in the Minehead area. To tell you a bit more about Promiseworks it has been an operational charity since 2017 and has recently been awarded the Queens Award for voluntary service in recognition of the incredible work that the volunteers do in changing lives of children and young people within Somerset. We use Bowlbys attachment theory which recognises that a child can successfully navigate their personal development if they have a positive relationship in their life. This is where mentors come in. They are that positive relationship. They are that person that can bring happiness and emotional resilience into their lives. If you can bring us in to conversation or if it would be appropriate to have a mention on the Churches Together website it all helps to raise awareness and hopefully reach some more amazing people who may consider mentoring.
Many thanks for your time
Kind Regards
Sue
