| Description: | A day in the life of . . .100 women in Britain Don’t miss this opportunity to hear the story behind this remarkable book. One hundred women took up their pens (and laptops) to write about their lives to help women across the world improve theirs. Sales of this book (now in the thousands) have helped fund many projects from helping a young doctor purchase a scooter to make her house calls, to teaching women in remote mountain villages to become herb farmers and helping them sell their products, or set up their own goatherd business and buy shawls for women who lost everything in the earthquake. Drs Rosa and Ian Matheson will give an illustrated talk showing how a book really can change people's lives. |
