On Friday 12th February at 7.30pm in Minehead, Oddments Theatre Company will be performing a touring production about John Newton, entitled ‘Amazing Grace’. Newton was an atheist slave trader with very few morals. Oddments Theatre’s original production follows John’s journey of discovery as he finds out about God’s love and saving grace, before finally he finds salvation, becoming the minister who helped to abolish slavery, inspired many others in their own faith, and wrote the famous hymn ‘Amazing Grace’ which was published in 1779. |
