Hundreds join Good Friday Walk of Witness
Hundreds of Christians from many different churches took part in the Farnham Good Friday Walk of Witness. The silent procession followed the Cross as it was carried through the central streets of the town from The Hart to finish at Farnham Parish Church. Prayers at the start were led by Bob Skinner, Elder of Weybourne Baptist Church.

The Revd.John Edwards, Deacon of the Roman Catholic Church of the Holy Family, Heath End, led the Walk of Witness through the town.
Crosses were borne at the front and rear of the procession by Steven Knowles and Rob Thain, both representing St.Andrew’s Church. The event was organised, efficiently as always, by Stewart Dakers on behalf of Churches Together in Farnham. Several CTF members acted as escorts to ensure the safe progress of the procession through streets busy with traffic.
The Revd.Michael Hopkins, Minister of Farnham United Reformed Church, led prayers at the finish in St.Andrew’s Churchyard. Then everyone joined in singing the Good Friday hymn, “When I Behold the Wondrous Cross”.
