At a time when a lot of people say they are turned off by politics, many in our churches are still concerned about what is going on in our world. What does politics mean for our faith - and what should our faith mean for our politics?

Week 1. What does God look like?

Oscar®-winner Judi Dench stars as Queen Victoria in this incredible true story of the unlikely friendship between the renowned British monarch and a young Indian clerk. 

 Film starts at 6.30pm donation towards refreshments £2.50 - Pop Corn, Ice Cream during the film & at the interval Cumberland Sausage Hot Dogs (Vegetarian Sausages available) - with all the trimmings.

Week 2. Where is the justice?

 A conference to explore how caring for God's earth is an intrinsic part of our Christian mission. There will be workshops during the day offering practical ideas on how we can incorporate this mission into existing ministries / work areas such as ‘Children & Youth' and ‘Food'.

Housewife 49 was written by and stars Victoria Wood. It is set in Northern
England and based on a true story about Nella Last's 'Mass Observation' diary. 

There will be the chance to discuss the film informally after the showing.
