Padre Pio has been at the forefront of building peace in Angola, following the brutal civil war that raged for 26 years. Description: | FRENSHAM CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVALFestive trees will fill St Mary's Church for the third Frensham Christmas Tree Festival over the weekend of 7th and 8th December. Opening times are from 11am to 6pm on the Saturday and from 11am to 5.30pm on the Sunday. Admission is £3 for adults, 50p for 5 - 16 year olds, and free for children under 5.Traditionally decorated trees, trees reflecting groups or businesses, and themed trees based on a 'play on words', such as Vest-Tree, Electricit-Tree, and lots more. 40+ imaginatively decorated trees on show. Light refreshments served in the newly-opened church hall, including mince pies and gingerbread Christmas Trees. Proceeds from the Festival split between the church: towards fitting out the new church hall - and charities nominated by the decorators of the three most popular trees as judged by visitors.
