Churches Together in Farnham's Annual General Meeting will be held at Farnham Pentecostal Church in Red Lion Lane.

Refreshments will be served from 7.15pm prior to the start of the meeting at 7.45pm.

CTF comprises more than 25 churches in and around the town including nearly every denomination. Come and hear what members achieve by working and praying together. Volunteers who would like to get involved would be most welcome!

Farnham Christian Aid Annual Meeting will be held at Farnham United Reformed Church, South Street, at 7.15pm. Laura Mead from Christian Aid South East office will be speaking.

"This will be a great opportunity to hear first-hand the latest on the various projects and campaigns which Christian Aid is involved with. The meeting  is open and everyone is welcome to join us. There will be refreshments before the business part of the meeting begins. for an evening of carols and conversation with Padre Jacinto Pio, President of the Association for Building Communities. Padre Pio has been at the forefront of building peace in Angola, following the brutal civil war that raged for 26 years. He will speak about his expeiences working for peace, and how we can try to do the same.

FRENSHAM CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL 

Festive trees will fill St Mary's Church for the third Frensham Christmas Tree Festival over the weekend of 7th and 8th December. Opening times are from 11am to 6pm on the Saturday and from 11am to 5.30pm on the Sunday. Admission is £3 for adults, 50p for 5 - 16 year olds, and free for children under 5.

Traditionally decorated trees, trees reflecting groups or businesses, and themed trees based on a 'play on words', such as Vest-Tree, Electricit-Tree, and lots more. 40+ imaginatively decorated trees on show. Light refreshments served in the newly-opened church hall, including mince pies and gingerbread Christmas Trees. Proceeds from the Festival split between the church: towards fitting out the new church hall - and charities nominated by the decorators of the three most popular trees as judged by visitors. Tilford Bach Society's traditonal Christmas celebration at Tilford Parish Church. Carols sung by the London Handel Singers directed by Adrian Butterfield (the afternoon performance will include singing by pupils of local schools). Mulled wine and mincepies will be available.

Over the weekend of Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th December St Mary's Church, Frensham, will  be full of decorated Christmas Trees. Today the festival  is open between 11am and 5.30pm.

CHORAL FEAST AT ST MARY'S

A Choral Concert by the Octavian Singers will take place at St.Mary's Church, Frensham, at 7.30 p.m on Saturday 14th December.  The programme includes the Messe Solenelle de Sainte Cecile by Charles Gounod and music by Byrd, Handel, Parry and Finzi.

FESTIVE PRAYER MEETING

Half an hour of reflective prayer, readings and intercession followed by seasonal refreshments. Open to all - please join us.
