Churches Together in Bury St. Edmunds and District have organised a schedule of ‘Warm Rooms' available over each week, for this winter during the present difficulty with energy costs, and general cost-of-living.

Mondays: St George's Church, Anselm Avenue - afternoons 2.30-4.30
(with tea/coffee, biscuits, jigsaws, board games, toys available)
Mondays: St Bartholemew's Church, Ingham -afternoons 12.30-5.00
(hot drinks and biscuits available plus jigsaws and books)
Wednesdays: United Reformed Church, Whiting St. - mornings 9.30-11.30.
Thursdays: St Bartholemew's Church, Ingham -10.00-5.00
(hot drinks and biscuits available plus jigsaws and books)
Thursdays: All Saints Church, Park Road - 10.15-1.00.
(with tea/coffee, biscuits, jigsaws, board games, toys available)
Thursdays: Cathedral (Library), Angel Hill - 10.00-3.00
(use of desks, charging of devices, tea/coffee, board games; jigsaws are available)
Fridays: Bridge Community Church, West Road Site - mornings 9.30-12.30
Mondays-Fridays: Freedom Church, Great Barton - all week 9.30-4.00 as a regular cafe.
Other churches are considering starting after New Year: St Edmund's RC Church, and Southgate Church.
United Reformed Church are considering expanding their times, and Bridge Community Church might be adding Tuesday afternoons.
Other regular weekday activities go on at most churches, of course.
Also, there are Food Banks at Bridge Community Church and Vineyard Church, Northern Way, as well as Gatehouse, Dettigen Way (not religious but supported by church members)
