Ashes to Go
Wednesday 5th March is known in some Christian traditions as ‘Ash Wednesday' and marks the start of the season of Lent. Between 11am and 12.30pm that day some of us from the Newport Pagnell churches were out on the High Street highlighting the beginning of the Lenten journey and reminding people how God's love is freely available.
God meets us not just in worship, but in the midst of life, and ‘Ashes to Go' reminded us of that. It was an opportunity to talk to someone about any concerns or worries and was an invitation to pause in the midst of our busy lives for reflection, healing and prayer.
In April, all the churches joined for a Good Friday outdoor service
Good Friday Walk of Witness
On Friday, 18 April people from all our churches processed along the High Street to hold an outdoor service at Market Hill to mark this special day in the Christian calendar. Click on the image to the right for more pictures.
