LETTER FROM A MINISTER
this month in the form of a poem
People must be kept on a lead at all times
Dogs don't pee in the sea
They are cleaner than you and me
No underwater lamp posts tempt them
Despite the certainty of immunity from detection
Notices about dogs and leads
Imply great danger from the cannine breed
But when I stop and think a while
Humans are more dangerous by a country mile
Dogs do not run a global mafia trade
Stealing from the poor and calling it trade and aid.
Or turn blind eyes on sweat shops streets.
Because our greed demands that everything is cheap
So people must be kept on leads at all times
With muzzles to prevent their many crimes
And slapped with health and safety warnings galore
Stating danger, immanent, beware, a third world war
