Struggling with Alcohol or Drugs? Free Support and Counselling from the Hope Centre, Minehead

A new local service for people who are struggling with alcohol or drugs but want to take steps to rebuild their lives is now open in Minehead.

Hope Online provides a chance to talk your problems over in a one-to-one session with a registered, highly experienced counsellor while using a
self-help rehabilitation programme. There is also someone available to help you with basic skills in using the computer to access the online support and also find out about benefits, housing and local employment opportunities.

Hope Online takes place in a warm, relaxing meeting place where you can get support and encouragement. There is no charge, just a big welcome. You will also be offered a free hot meal and a drink.

Sessions take place every Monday from 11am to 2pm and every Tuesday from 10.30am to 2pm at the Baptist Church hall, Parks Lane, Minehead (opposite the entrance to Parks Lane furniture stores).To book a session or find out more simply turn up, call Sally on 07949 642774 or email i

All counselling sessions are on a confidential one-to-one basis with someone who is a Member of the Health Professionals Council (HPC), an Associate Fellow of The British Psychological Society (BPS) and a Member of British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy.
