Christian Aid Week in Farnham
including Musical Evening at
St.George’ Church, Upper Hale
Christian Aid Week is from 15th-21st May 2022.
Over the last few months, Christian Aid has been involved in responding to the humanitarian emergencies in Afghanistan and Ukraine. However it continues its other work in those areas of the world where drought and other extreme weather events intensified by climate change make life for many people a daily struggle to survive.
This year during Christian Aid week, we will be reflecting on families in Zimbabwe. In that country, drought has led to loss of livelihoods and homes and Christian Aid works through partner agencies with local communities to turn hunger into hope.
Funds raised during the week will go towards this work, which includes helping to provide water supplies for communal vegetable gardens and subsistence farms, providing seed and training for drought resistant crop growing and building storerooms.
