Cranleigh Churches Together Events Calendar

Thursday, July 19
Time: 2:30pm - 3:00pm

Description: Mothers Prayers is a chance to come together in the presence of our Heavenly Father and hand our children to him, in the knowledge that he loves our children even more than we do and that He can do anything for them.  In doing this, we are joining with Mothers everywher, thanking the Lord for the precious gift of motherhood, apologising for our shortcomings and seeking his reassurance and guidance in our vocation as mothers.

Description: Simon Chedgey will be speaking from Guildford Besom, a cross-church charity that makes a difference in the local community by providing support for those in need through practical work such as gardening, DIY, donating clothes and household goods. The talk will be preceded by a supper and will be held in the Bandroom.

What is life like for Palestinians in Bethlehem?  What impact does the Israeli occupation have on their everyday activities?  Paul Farmer spent three months living alongside Palestinians as part of the Ecumenical accompanier Programme, which is run by the Society of Friends (Quakers) on behalf of the World Council of Churches.  You are warmly invited to hear about his experience and learn more about the situation in Palestine by coming along to this talk.  There will be Palestinian products available to buy.  Everyone is welcome.
