ROC: Redeeming our Communities
There will be a launch of ROC in Burgess Hill at the Triangle Leisure Centre, on Friday 17th March at 7.30, with worship, the ROC National and many local organisations represented, church and state. Members of CTIBH should have had a copy of the flyer sent by Will Kemp.
Will Kemp, of The Point Church writes:
The evangelical churches' ministers group here in Burgess Hill have decided to sponsor a launch event on Friday 17 Feb at the Triangle, aimed at bringing churches and other groups together - it is really a promotional event that we hope will lead onto to some serious conversations about what we can do together by way of new projects or partnering to resource existing projects better.
We are delighted that Nicholas Soames MP and Giles York, Deputy Chief Constable Sussex Police, will be speaking at the event and giving us their support. Our aim is to throw the net wide and invite everyone and anyone who may share the concern to see community transformation in Mid Sussex. We would be delighted if you and any from your congregations could attend the event.
It has all come together quite quickly and feels like there is real momentum. We already have Sussex Police on board and representation from Town and District Council, and interest from a number of other groups. It really seems to fit with a growing sense that many of us have that God is calling us to be more mission focussed churches.
I do hope you can make the event itself. Do let me know if you need any further information. Do invite others who you may be interested."
Participants need to notify rsvp@roc-burgesshill.co.uk or ROC (Burgess Hill and South Downs) at Gateway Baptist Church, Station Rd, RH15 9EQ.
