The Bedfordshire, Essex and Hertfordshire District of the Methodist Church has more than 7,500 members and 160 churches organised into 12 circuits, each under the pastoral oversight of a Superintendent Minister.The District Chair has oversight responsibility for the District and the District safeguarding team.
The District Safeguarding Officerwill work closely with the Lead District Safeguarding Officer to implement Methodist safeguarding policy and procedures in the circuits and churches of the District. The District Safeguarding Officers are responsible to the District Chair for ensuring compliance with Methodist safeguarding policy and procedures throughout the District. They provide guidance to circuit and church safeguarding officers in safeguarding matters, undertake case work, risk assessments and safeguarding training, and represent the District to external agencies.
£31,200 – £39,000 (pro rata) depending on qualifications and experience
