Week Of Prayer For Christian Unity

On Sunday 20th January, marking the week of prayer for Christian unity, churches in Limbury, Luton, met together at St Augustine's Anglican Church for a shared afternoon service for the first time in many years. Members of the congregation led prayers and readings, Rev David Fleming from the Baptist church spoke, and Rev Jairo Nyaongo led the worship. It is hoped this will once again become an annual fixture.

DECEMBER 2018

This year the Scallop Mission Group (Sharnbrook, Clapham, London Rd, Oakley and Park Rd churches) collected and delivered 78 pairs of socks all containing various toiletries, and 20 hand knitted scarves to the SMART Prebend centre for the homeless in Bedford.

In September I attended the CTE Forum 2018 representimg Bedfordshire. I was really inspired by the experience and heard plenty of good news from around the country. God is at work in many places and in many ways. It is great to be a part of it. Alan Dansey

18 January 2018: A Salvadoran Cross that is a now an icon of Christian unity was dedicated and placed in the World Council of Churches’ Chapel in Geneva, Switzerland on the first day of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity.
