Minehead Garden Party - July 23rd 2011
A garden party held in the grounds of the Sacred Heart Church in Minehead on Saturday 23rd July raised £335 for the Alcombe Food Cupboard . The event, organised by Christians Together in Minehead, was well attended by both members of Minehead Churches and others. The money raised will be used for food parcels for those with temporary or sudden needs in the area. The Food Cupboard is based at St.Michael's Church, Alcombe, and apart from the contributions of tins and packets of food given through several local churches, money is always needed to buy further supplies. The parcels are passed on through agencies in touch with those in need. The photo above shows Fr.
