Poverty Truth Commission for Morecambe Bay area

We have the beginnings of a Poverty Truth Commission for Morecambe Bay area - a very exciting development with potential to change the whole way poverty is viewed and worked with in our district.  It started in Scotland and spread from there to Leeds-
http://www.church-poverty.org.uk:8082/site/what-we-do (...)

It is based on learning from post Apartheid south Africa and their slogan NOTHING ABOUT US, WITHOUT US, IS FOR US.

The opportunity is for a part time worker to support the process,  16 hours per week. The most important skills will relate to working with community members to identify key areas they wish to research and present.  Lived experience of poverty and of working alongside those in poverty will be key.
