A PRAYER FOR THE REFUGEE CRISIS
Heavenly Father, you are the source of all goodness, generosity and love. We thank you for opening the hearts of many to those who are fleeing for their lives. Help us now to open our arms in welcome, and reach out our hands in support. That the desperate may find new hope, and lives torn apart be restored. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, Our Lord, who fled persecution at His birth and at His last triumphed over death. Amen
Churches Together Charlbury are praying together and consulting with each other on how we as Christians can best respond to the refugee crisis. Fundraising events are being planned by several churches and donations being collected. Letters are being written to the Prime Minister.
Below are links to church websites, statements being given by some church leaders offering guidance to us.

LINKS TO CHARITIES
Below are links to Christian and other charities who are working to offer assistance to the thousands of people who are fleeing war and persecution and who so desperately need help to arrive at a place of safety. The sites have links to donate financially and some also request that we write to David Cameron asking that more refugees be resettled here.
